Cards are free to all residents of our legal service area: Montpelier, Berlin, Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex, and Worcester. We ask to see proof of your current address, we ask for a license or ID number, and patrons under the age of 18 need a signature of parent or guardian.

If you live outside the legal service area, the following tax replacement charges apply as of July 1, 2010:
Single person: $37
Family: $44
Single senior (65 and over): $28
Senior couple: $37

These charges are tied to the per-capita tax support that Montpelier residents voted on Town Meeting day 2010. All future charges will be commensurate with Montpelier's tax support.
