Story walk at Hubbard Park
Check out StoryWalk® at Hubbard Park which features “Mole Music” by David McPhail - one of our favorite authors! Pages from this wonderful children’s picture book will be posted along the trail from Hubbard Park Drive to the tower on May 16th and 17th from 10 am to 6 pm. Great for all ages, self-guided, free. Come read, enjoy, and explore Montpelier’s beautiful Hubbard Park as part of Walk and Roll.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

MONDAY Sketchbook Club (5/4, 5/11)
Love drawing? Want to hang out with other people who do? Join Sketchbook Club! We will meet on Mondays and learn about different drawing and journaling techniques, from nature journaling to still life drawing, collage and more. Participants will receive their own sketchbook! Sign up to save your spot! (Ages 8-12)
TUESDAY Tech Tuesday (5/5, 5/12, 5/26)
Drop-in time for tech and maker projects! Featuring DIY, creating circuits from different materials, hobby motors, basic electronics, and more! Supplies and ideas provided—just bring your creativity! (Ages 6 and up)
WEDNESDAY Read to Clara
Clara is a 2-year-old Labradoodle who just got her Therapy Dog certification, and she LOVES to be read to! Sign up for a 20-minute slot and choose your books beforehand to read to this special canine pal! (All ages)

FRIDAY Magic: The Gathering (5/8, 5/22, 5/29) Test your skill with this strategy game. Beginners welcome; two starter decks are available for those who do not have their own cards. (Ages 6-12)

5/7 Katy Farber Book Launch- Local author and teacher, Katy Farber, is coming to read from her first book—The Order of the Trees.When a couple finds a baby girl abandoned in the woods at the foot of a tall cedar tree, they don’t know what to make of it. Who would leave a babe in the woods? The trees know . . . but they can’t say. (Ages 10-14)
5/14 Benjamin Holmquist Book Launch
Author Benjamin Holmquist is coming to read from his brand new book, The Blackthorn Chronicles. In a post-apocalyptic dystopia, a totalitarian regime led by the evil overlord Blackthorn keeps the remains of humanity locked inside a massive walled city known as The Cell. When seventeen-year-old Noggin's family is taken from him, he starts to uncover a secret that will change the course of the future. (Ages 12 and up)
5/15 Writing Workshop: Writing for a Cause with Katy Farber-Katy Farber invites middle grade students to learn about writing to make the world a better place. Do you have something that you feel passionate about? Come learn how to weave a story about that passion. (Ages 10-14)
Saturday, 5/23: Teen Film-Making Series- Storyboards and Short Scenes (HR)
Learning how to plan out a short film will be the focus our last installment of the Teen Film Series. We will create storyboards, learn basics of camera use, and put all of this together to film short scenes! (Ages 12-18)
