New check-out and fine policies
Please note that as of November 15, 2012, our check-out periods and fine structure have changed.
Due dates are now standardized for the entire Library with the same check-out periods and renewal policies for both Adult Library & Children's Department materials.
- Books and audiobooks from the Adult Library and Children's Department will check out for 14 days, with 2 renewals, fine .15 per day, max fine $5.00.
- DVDs and videos will check out for 4 days, with 1 renewal, fine $1.00 per day, max fine $5.00.
- Magazines will check out for 7 days, with 1 renewal, fine .15 per day, max fine $3.00.
You will be able to renew new books if there are no holds on them.
DVDs will check out for 4 days with one renewal, so it is possible to keep them for 8 days if there are no holds on them.
The four-week check-out period will be given only to patrons who will be in circumstances not allowing them to renew by phone or online.
The one-day grace period will be eliminated as of April 1, 2013.
