Getting a Card
Kellogg-Hubbard Library cards are free to residents of:
Berlin, Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex, Montpelier and Worcester.
If you own property or have a business in one of these areas, such that you pay taxes to that township, you are also eligible for a free KHL card.
When you apply for a library card, please bring photo ID and proof of your current address (license, lease, utility bill, etc.). Patrons under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian to sign their application form.
If you live outside our tax-support area, library membership is subject to a tax-replacement fee.
Adult (16-64): $40
Single senior (+65): $35
These charges reflect the per-capita tax support approved by Montpelier voters on Town Meeting Day 2013.
Your KHL card is valid only at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Vermont libraries do not form a unified system.
More information for new patrons is available here.
