Library Cards
Everyone is welcome to visit the library, go to library programs, use our computers & wifi, and use our online databases.
You need a Library Card to borrow materials and to use digital services like Libby, Flipster, and Kanopy.
You can get a free Library Card if you:
-
Live or own a business in one of our member towns - Berlin, Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex, Montpelier, and Worcester
-
Teach or go to a public school in one of our member towns, including VABE (Vermont Adult Basic Education) and CCV (community college of Vermont - Montpelier).
When you visit the library to sign up for a card please bring:
-
A photo ID and proof of your current address (license, lease, utility bill, etc.)
-
A parent or guardian, if you are under age 16 (they will need to sign with you)
You may purchase a Library Card if you live outside of our tax-supported area:
-
Adult Membership (16-64): $50
-
Senior Membership (+65): $45
If you already have a purchased Library Card and need to renew it for another year, you can stop by the library, call us, or complete the Purchase a Library Card form.
Your KHL card is valid only at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Vermont libraries do not form a unified system. Cards expire annually. Renew your card by checking in with us to verify that your contact information hasn't changed!
