How did the Library do in FY 2020?

 

  • Our digital collection expanded to over 80,000 downloadable eBooks, audios, films and magazines

 

  • Our print collection stayed about the same size at 70,643 items

 

(We have a finite amount of shelf space, so as we buy the latest books, audiobooks and DVDs for all ages – we have to weed out old books that are worn out or haven’t been borrowed in a long time)

 

  • You & your friends & neighbors borrowed from our collections a WHOPPING 356,484 times.

 

  • Our 431 programs for children & adults were attended by 11,207 people

 

  • Library visitors connected to our WiFi an average of 761 times each week

New in 2020

 

  • Our Outreach & Circulation Librarians made weekly deliveries to patrons in our member towns – to centralized outreach sites & to homebound patrons.

 

  • We added streaming films with Kanopy and digital magazines with Flipster

 

  • We expanded the services you can access on our website - from Library card signups, to purchase requests and more!

Portion of budget covered by taxpayer dollars: 56%

 

 

We are asking for the same amount of taxpayer funding from each of our communities this year, a 0% increase.
